Los Angeles Times photographer Luis Sinco is scheduled to speak at the Great Hall at Pierce College as part of the Media Arts Speaker Series.
Sinco has more than 25 years of professional photojournalism experience. He started at Copley Los Angeles Newspapers in 1987 and joined the Times in 1997. He was part of two Pulitzer Prize-winning teams with his coverage of the 2004 California wildfires and the Northridge earthquake. He was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the war in Iraq.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m. Admission is free and open to students, faculty and community members. The event is sponsored by ASO.
