Mark Boster, a photographer for the Los Angeles Times since 1983, will discuss his career at the Pierce College Media Arts Speaker Series.
Veteran Los Angeles Times photographer and author Mark Boster will talk at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20, in the Pierce College Great Hall about his years in the field at the next Media Arts Department Speaker Series.
Boster, who has been with the Times snice 1983, as covered the war in Kosovo, the 1984 Olympics, the Northridge Earthquake and Hurricane Katrina, as well as several presidential campaigns.
He also wrote the coffeetable book “The Four Seasons of Yosemite,” which includes a forward by actor and environmental activist Robert Redford.
Also, Boster for 25 years has served as an adjunct professor of photojournalism and visual communications at Cal State University, Fullerton, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in c.ommunications.
The speaker series is open to all students and staff at Pierce, as well as to the general public. Admission is free and refershments will be served.
