Students at Pierce College, College of the Canyons, East Los Angeles College and Santa Monica College have been studying the exhibition Light, Paper, Process: Reinventing Photography at the Getty Museum.
Now those students are creating photographs inspired by the innovative techniques employed by the photographers in the exhibition. This work will be displayed at College Night at The Getty on April 276–9:30 pm.
The Pierce students who have work in the show will Calvin Alagot, Carolyn Arredondo, Kristen Aslanian , Diego Barajas, Courtney Coles, Mohammad Djauhari, Nico Heredia, Lynn Levitt, Monica Salazar and Erin Stone.
Light, Paper, Process: Reinventing Photography features the work of seven photographers who have turned their attention to exploring the essence of photography, distilling it to its basic components of light-sensitive emulsions and chemical development.
After touring The Getty, visitors can listen to music and enjoy free food outdoors while taking in the views of the city.
