The Media Arts Film Club is thrilled to announce the first screening in its “New Face of Horror” series, a public viewing of the Oscar-winning film, Get Out!
On Wednesday, Oct. 2, the Film Club will screen writer/director Jordan Peele’s feature film debut, Get Out. Peele’s film was released amid universal acclaim in 2017, and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. A short Q&A discussion will follow, with a panel of students and faculty.
Admission is free and open to students, faculty and community members. Refreshments will be served.
About the Media Arts Film Club Series: Every semester, the Media Arts Department strives to give students the opportunity to watch films chosen by the Film Club. In an effort to discuss the relevancy of art and film – both past and present – the follow-up panels and Q&A sessions will facilitate a discussion between the audience and Film Club students and pre-selected faculty/staff at Pierce College. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements for future installments in the Film Club Series!
