Pierce Media Arts students took home five state publication awards from the Journalism Association of Community Colleges for the 2020-2021 year. Two awards were for top honors in their respective categories.

The Roundup, the weekly student newspaper, and The Bull Magazine, a student magazine published every semester, both took home awards for General Excellence.

Students took home three other awards, as well, including:

• Fourth Place: Photo Story-Essay – Benjamin Hanson – Roundup
  
• Fourth Place: Magazine Illustration – Katya Castillo – The Bull Magazine
  
• Third Place: Magazine Photo – Benjamin Hanson – The Bull Magazine
