The music editor for “The Simpsons” will be a guest speaker at Pierce College at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 12 in the Great Hall.
Chris Ledesma has edited every episode of The Simpsons, which started on Fox in 1989. His first music editing opportunity came in 1986 at Segue Music. He later worked at Music Design Group and Music Works. Ledesma went independent in 1993, forming his own company: Click Track, Inc.
The free event is part of the Media Arts Department’s Speaker Series, a semester-long effort funded by the Associated Students Organization.
Refreshments will be served. Parking is available for $2 in Lot 1, near the Sheriff’s Station off Brahma Drive and Winnetka Avenue.
The next Media Arts Department Speakers Series event will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, when documentary filmmaker Adam Hyman visits. Hyman co-produced the 2007 Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning feature documentary “Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience for The Documentary Group.”
