Six Pierce College photography students attended a master class at the Getty Museum on Oct. 8, along with students from other local community colleges as part of an ongoing partnership with the Getty Education Department.
The students visited the "In Focus Tokyo" exhibit and then listened to Japanese photographer Mikiko Hara talk about her work and her practice as an artist. Hara's visit was hosted by the Japan Foundation, which has offered the students an opportunity to exhibit work they create based on inspiration from Hara's lecture. The work will show at the Japan Foundation in Los Angeles.
