An Emmy award winning television editor whose work includes “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” “The Bachelor” and “VH1’s Behind The Music” will be the next person to participate in the Media Arts Speaker Series at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11.
Jeff Savenick will visit Pierce as part of the Pierce College Media Arts Department Speaker Series, a free program that welcomes esteemed speakers from the radio, film, journalism and website worlds. His talk is called “How to discover you life’s path and create early success.”
The events are a semester-long effort funded by the Associated Students Organization. Students, faculty, staff and the community are invited. Faculty can receive Flex Credit for attending.
The event will be hosted in the Great Hall. Refreshments will be served. Parking is available in Lot 1, near the Sheriff’s Station off Brahma Drive and Winnetka Avenue.

“Jeff Savenick is an Emmy Award winning Television Editor. He’s also a
Director and Producer. He has been at the forefront of the Docu-series
genre since its inception. In 1996 he joined Bunim-Murray Productions &
MTV editing the first four seasons of the hit show “Road Rules” and then
moving on to Edit & also Direct ten seasons of “The Real World”. Jeff also
Directed & Co-Produced “The Simple Life” for Fox Television. His resume
is a hit list of iconic television programs and specials including “Keeping Up
With The Kardashians”, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, “The
Bachelor”, “VH1’s Behind The Music” “Disney’s 50 Years Of Magic”.
Jeff helped create the long running series for MTV “Making The Video”.
He is currently editing “Devils Ride” a successful television show for the
Discovery Channel.
Jeff’s unique story is at the age of 17, after the death of his father, he became
homeless, living in his car. Jeff went from being 17 and homeless to editing
for the Director of the Academy Awards by the time he was 23.”
